When I read Genesis 1:6-8 my eyes were opened to something very interesting. In the New Living Bible Genesis 1:6-8 reads, “Then God said, ‘Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.’ And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. God called the space ’sky.’ And evening came, marking the second day.”

That was interesting to me. God created the sky to separate water on earth (ocean, lakes, rivers, etc.) from the waters of the heavens.  I do not know of any water in space itself, and there is no water to my knowledge in the atmosphere, so what water is being talked about in Genesis? The sky itself now separates us from space.  The water would have to be in the atmosphere then correct?  There is no water in the atmosphere so something must have caused all the water to have been removed.

If you look more into Genesis look at the ages of people from Adam to Noah. Few people lived less than 500 years and many people lived to be over 700 years old.  How did they live that long?

You may be thinking that is an easy question, they didn’t calculate age the same back then. I did some investigating and that is not true. Between Noah and Joseph the ages of the people started to drop. Joseph lived to be about 100 which is the age someone today can live. Granted people may not have lived as long as him even in that time, but remember Joseph was second in command of all Egypt. He was royalty and most likely was in better living conditions than others of the time.

The only thing that happened was the flood. This can be found in the story of Noah. If it was to rain 40 days and 40 nights, where did all that water come from? If there was water in the atmosphere when the earth was created, and no water there now it had to go somewhere. Above the sky is the only place written that God put water besides on earth.

After the flood people started living shorter lives as time went on. The last record in the bible of a 900+ year old man was Noah.  He lived hundreds of years before the flood came. The only thing that changed to cause shorter lives is that there is no water above the sky today.

Many people look at the sky today and just see it as the sky, but the original purpose of the sky was to separate the waters on earth from the waters in heaven.
