Just before I wrote this post I found something that I didn’t expect to. Romans 13:6 reads, “Pay your taxes.” I had no idea that this was worded so plainly.  Again in Romans 13:7 the bible reads, “Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them.”

Paying your taxes is not something most people look forward to. Actually, for me this is the first year I am not looking forward to it. This is because this may be the first year I may not be receiving a refund.

Anyway, many people look at ways to lower their taxes. As long as you are honest, then fine, but cheating the government by being dishonest and not reporting things that you should is wrong. We are to pay our taxes, and in order for us to have an accurate amount we need to report everything necessary.

I actually thought about it and if we had nothing to report we most likely are out of work, etc. What I mean is that we have no income. I am, as weird as it sounds, thankful that I have to pay taxes. This is because God has blessed me with income last year, even in the midst of me being out of work for 11 months now.
