Patience is an area of my life that I believe God is working on. I tend to be impatient when trading stocks, currencies etc. I find that especially with my family, I have little patients. What I mean is that I tend to get frustrated with them very quickly. I know that God is helping me in this area, because I asked Him to help me. What I did find, is that now, Jesus tends to give me more opportunities to be patient. What I learned recently to ask Jesus for is, Read the rest of this entry » Romans 12:20 reads, “on the contrary: ‘if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.” Romans reads in 12:17, “repay no one evil for evil.” If someone does something to offend you, be kind to them anyway. That means that we should forgive everyone. Jesus forgives us and He is our example. Therefore we need to forgive. Romans 12:20 continues, ” for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.” If someone keeps doing things to annoy you on purpose, be extra nice to them. It will drive them nuts. Always forgive and show kindness. How many times should I forgive? The bible reads in Matthew 18:21-22,”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? Pastor Darrell’s sermon was a continuation of his current series going through the book of Philippians. Yesterday’s sermon was about being content. It got me thinking. The bible reads in Philippians 4:11-13, “not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed…) in whatever state I am. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and Read the rest of this entry » The bible says in Romans 12:21, “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” We need to always overcome evil with good. God is good, so since we are suppose to live as He wants us to live we need to over come evil with good. Remember Jesus is our example. He never overcame evil with evil. Jesus conquered death, hell, and sin because He was blameless, sinless, and died on the cross and is resurrected so our sins are forgiven and we can live in heaven with Him forever.
