Everything is Possible for Those That Believe. Mark 9:23

Are you kind to others? Do you show kindness? Romans 12:8 reads in the New Living Bible, “And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” When we have the opportunity to be kind, we should do it and be glad to. Why shouldn’t we be kind. I know that I would want people to be kind to me, so why wouldn’t I be kind to others? We can show kindness in many ways. For example, if you have the day off from work, why not make your spouse breakfast so that you can share some time together? If you see someone in a scooter rolling through a grocery store, help them if you see then are trying to get something too high for them to reach. Please share some other ways that you can show kindness by leaving me a comment. |
Michael, you are so right that in our society, acts of kindness are something that we seem to be losing. It’s such a shame, because most times it’s really the simplest things that can mean so much.
It can be as simple as a thank you to show appreciation to somebody for doing something that we usually take for granted – family, spouse, coworker, etc.
If we see a friend or family member who seems a bit down, take the time to ask them if they are okay.
Sometimes even something as simple as a smile to a stranger, rather than looking away, can be an immense difference to that person.
And always important, tell the people that you love that you love them and what they mean to you. As we go about our day to day lives, sometimes we forget to do this, and it can mean so much to our loved ones.
If you see somebody new at your church, club, or organization, introduce yourself and make them feel welcome.
I think a large part of the lack of kindness is also awareness of our surroundings. If we take the time to really see that somebody needs help at the grocery store or needs the door held open for them, then it only takes a moment show that kindness and help.
Acts of kindness are so profound, can take so little time and mean so much. Thank you so much for the wonderful post and hope that you find many wonderful ideas.
Kindness is contagious and I certainly hope it spread. Thank you
