Jesus’ Compassion

Last week I blogged about Jesus feeding the four thousand. Another thing that I get out of it now that I read it again is that Jesus had compassion on the people. Matthew 15:32 Jesus says, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with Me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

As you can see here, Jesus is showing compassion for the people that came to Him. He did not want to send them away hungry. He cared.

Jesus is our example. Since He was compassionate, I want to be compassionate. We are to show compassion toward other people. We are to care about other people. Why not take some time today and show someone you care. Give someone a call, invite someone over for dinner, visit someone in a hospital or nursing home, etc.

Do you have any ideas how we can show compassion toward others? Please leave a comment sharing an idea.
