This is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to know. John 3:3 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:17 reads, “For God sent…His Son…that the world through Him might be saved.” John 6:47 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.” Mark 1:15 reads, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel.” John 10:9 reads, “I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved.” John 14:6 reads, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 11:25-26 reads, “I am the Ressurection and the Life: he that believeth in Me, thought he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?“
Take a look at that last sentence, ” Belivest thou this?” Jesus is asking us that question. Do you believe that Jesus is the ressurection and the life? I absolutely do. In order to get to heaven you MUST be Born Again! The only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus. You need repent of your sins. You must ask Jesus to come into your heart and take over your life. You need to make Jesus your Lord and Savior. You need to believe in Jesus. You must to believe that He died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins and that He rose from the dead on the third day. You need to confess it with words. Don’t just think it. Once you have done so if some one asks you, “Are you saved?” You can answer without a doubt, “ABSOLUTELY!”
- Don’t get confused. You are saved by grace not by works. Ephesians 2:5 reads, “by grace ye are saved.” Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, “for by grace you were saved through faith…not of works.” This means you cannot go to heaven just because you are a good person who obeys the law, etc. When you become born again and are [truly] saved you will want to do God’s will though.
Ok. I have been baptized, that counts right?
No. Being baptized is great, but it will not save you. Jesus was baptized. In John 3:5 Jesus said that you must be born of water and of the spirit. In Matthew 3:11 John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentence: but He that cometh after me…shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” I heard a sermon from Pastor John Hagee a while back and he put it this way, “You’ve been baptized, good. You can go down a dry sinner and come up a wet sinner.” That was quite clear to me.
Ok, but I go to church every Sunday, so I’m covered right?
No. Going to church every Sunday will not save you. Should you go to church? Absolutely! that’s a no-brainer, but find a good church that will help you grow in your relationship with Jesus. Again, the only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus not by church attendence.
Are you saved?
I know I am saved. I asked Jesus to be the Lord of my life, I made Him my Lord and Savior, I repented of my sins, and I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and your sins to be forgiven and that He rose on the third day. Thank You Jesus! Glory to Your Name! If you want to become saved and have eternal life in Heaven with Jesus please pray the below prayer.
Dear Father I pray in the Name of Jesus, please come into my life. Forgive me of all my sins. I believe that You are the Son of God and You died on the cross and rose from the dead to make a way for me. Thank you for loving me enough to die for me on the cross so my sins can be forgiven. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart. I make you my Lord and Savior. I love you. Thank you Jesus! In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.
