God’s People

The New Living Bible reads in Romans 9:25, “Concerning the Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea, ‘those who were not my people I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.’”

I try to remember to ask Jesus to help me out with what to write about in this blog and today while flipping through one of my bibles, this verse stuck out.  God’s people in the old testament was Nation of Israel.  This verse opens the door to all of the rest of us who are not a decedent of Jacob (Israel), the Gentiles.  From the sounds of this verse God did not love the Gentiles then, as He does now.  So from this verse, I take from it that God loves me.  If God loves me, well then let me tell you that God loves you too.
