Since I got laid off last February, I have been substitute teaching. There is a lot of patients required to do that. God has shown favor to me by giving me enough jobs to pay the bills and have a little left over for some fun stuff here and there. This weekend is Valentine’s Weekend for the most part, even though the day is actually Sunday. In addition to getting away this weekend, celebrating at home, going to dinner, or whatever, make sure that you take the time to thank God for that special someone that you have the pleasure of spending time with.

If you have not met that special someone yet, I myself haven’t either, take the time out to thank God that you are one day closer to finding the person that He wants you to be with. I know that is what I do and I trust God to show me who she is in His time and not mine.

When I read this passage in Galatians, God opened my eyes to something. Galatians 4:21-23 reads, “Tell me, you who want to live under the law, do you know what the law actually says? The scripture says that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife. The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of His promise.”

Romans 12:9 reads, “Hate what is wrong.” I think that this is pretty straight forward.

Matthew 5:3-10 are The Beatitutes. Lets talk about the first on today. Matthew 5:3 reads in the New Living Bible, “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him.”

God the Son

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God’s Son is Jesus Christ. Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:30-35 & Luke 2:7). He was born in Bethlehem (Luke 2:4). Once baptized by John the Baptist, it was Jesus Whom the voice from heaven came and spoke, “this is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17).
