Your Someone Special

datePosted on 07:53, February 12th, 2010 by Michael

This weekend is Valentine’s Weekend for the most part, even though the day is actually Sunday. In addition to getting away this weekend, celebrating at home, going to dinner, or whatever, make sure that you take the time to thank God for that special someone that you have the pleasure of spending time with.

If you have not met that special someone yet, I myself haven’t either, take the time out to thank God that you are one day closer to finding the person that He wants you to be with. I know that is what I do and I trust God to show me who she is in His time and not mine.

I will return for a new normal post on Monday. If you missed yesterday’s post on Valentine’s Day Ideas, check it out before you leave and maybe even leave a comment.

Stand Firm, Stand Tall

datePosted on 07:01, January 2nd, 2010 by Michael

Jesus said in Matthew 24:13, “but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Before saying that, Jesus is talking about wickedness and many people’s love will grow cold.  This entire section is in the NIV, headed as, “Signs of the Read the rest of this entry »

Freely Forgive

datePosted on 07:20, December 31st, 2009 by Michael

The amplified bible reads in Colossians 3:13, “as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must also [forgive].”

Forgiveness is a free gift from God. This is what Jesus was sent here to do, die on the cross so our sins can be forgiven. Because our sins are forgiven, we can live in heaven with Him Read the rest of this entry »
