Another of the the beatitudes is found in Matthew 5:9 which reads in the New Living Bible, “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” The same verse in the King James Version reads, “Blessed are the peacemakers: Read the rest of this entry » Matthew 5:3-10 are The Beatitutes. Lets talk about the first on today. Matthew 5:3 reads in the New Living Bible, “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him.” The point here that we as people need to realize that we need Jesus. We need our Lord, God, and Savior because without Him we are nothing. I think that Jesus said it Read the rest of this entry » The NIV bible reads in Romans 10:9-10, “that if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and Read the rest of this entry » The book of Daniel is one of many places that we can see that our God is an awesome God. By Daniel 6, Darius has taken over Babylon. He issued a decree that no one could ask God or any other god for anything. They only could make a petition to the king, only. This, king Darius was convinced of doing by the people under him, advisers, etc. Daniel, believing in God, disregarded that. He went to his window and prayed to our God. Daniel had a custom of praying three times a day near his window, so he was not doing it that day for spite, but he would offend the king before he offended God. When king Darius heard that Daniel was praying after he signed the decree, he was saddened. In Daniel 6:16 Darius orders that Daniel be thrown into the lions den. He said in the next verse that God, Daniel’s God, our God, would deliver him. Now I do not think that he believed that, but I do think that he wanted that. Daniel went into the lion’s den. The next morning the king called out to Daniel and asked him if God was able to deliver him from the lions den. Daniel replied in Daniel 6:21, “o king, live for ever.” God had protected Daniel from the lion’s in the lion’s den the entire night. That God, is our God. Our God, is an awesome God. He is a merciful God. He is a powerful God. He is a mighty God. He is a wonderful God. He is a miraculous God. He is a majestic God. He is our protector. He is out provider. He is the one who sent is only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that whosoever believes in Him shall have eternal life (John 3:16). Words can not describe how awesome our God is. We need to give Him praise and glory every day of our lives! Thank You Lord! Thank You Jesus.
A few Sundays ago I attended Christ the Rock community Church for service. Pastor Darrell, as usual, was on fire for God. He spent some time Sunday explaining that we should not categorize sin. He said, “admit what God says is sin, is sin.” He went on telling us we should not try to Read the rest of this entry » God the SonGod so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God’s Son is Jesus Christ. Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:30-35 & Luke 2:7). He was born in Bethlehem (Luke 2:4). Once baptized by John the Baptist, it was Jesus Whom the voice from heaven came and spoke, “this is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). It was Jesus, who overcame the temptation of the devil in the wilderness (Luke 4:1-15). The devil tried to tempt Jesus once in the wilderness for 40 days. If Jesus isn’t the Son of God, why would he spend so much time trying to temp Jesus.
