Romans 12:9 reads, “Hate what is wrong.” I think that this is pretty straight forward. We should turn away from what it wrong and have nothing to do with it. If we know something we are doing is wrong, run from it. Pray that Jesus helps in this area. It may not happen instantly, but Read the rest of this entry » The NIV bible reads in Romans 10:9-10, “that if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is what Jesus was sent here to do, die on the cross so our sins can be forgiven. Because our sins are forgiven, we can live in heaven with Him Read the rest of this entry » A few Sundays ago I attended Christ the Rock community Church for service. Pastor Darrell, as usual, was on fire for God. He spent some time Sunday explaining that we should not categorize sin. He said, “admit what God says is sin, is sin.” He went on telling us we should not try to Read the rest of this entry » Sunday I attended Christ the Rock Community Church and as usual, Pastor Darrell was on fire for Jesus. Jesus tells this parable in Luke 18:9-14. Jesus says in Luke 18:10-17, ” Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a pharisee, and the other a publican. The pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” The NIV reads Read the rest of this entry » I was listening to one of my Phillips, Craig, & Dean CD and I heard the song titled “When God Ran.” I recommend you listening to it. Family is who you should be able to go to in good times, bad times, and just because. To me there are three types of families. The most important is being part of God’s family. You need to be born again to be part of God’s family and God’s family will live in heaven with Him. The second type of family is the most common; Read the rest of this entry » Romans 12:20 reads, “on the contrary: ‘if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.” Romans reads in 12:17, “repay no one evil for evil.” If someone does something to offend you, be kind to them anyway. That means that we should forgive everyone. Jesus forgives us and He is our example. Therefore we need to forgive. Romans 12:20 continues, ” for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.” If someone keeps doing things to annoy you on purpose, be extra nice to them. It will drive them nuts. Always forgive and show kindness. |
