I am going to type straight out of the Amplified Bible to illustrate what Heaven looks like. The Bible reads in Revelations 21:10-21,”then the Spirit He conveyed me away to a vast and lofty mountain and exhibited to me the holy (hallowed, consecrated) city of Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God, [Ezek. 40:2] Clothed in God’s glory [in all its splendor and radiance]. The luster of it resembled a rare and most precious jewel, like jasper, shining clear as crystal. It had a massive and high wall with twelve [large] gates [there were stationed] twelve angels and [on the gates] the names of the twelve tribes of Isreal were written: Read the rest of this entry » Aug

Why Should I read the Bible? Is the Bible the Absolute Truth? The last two questions posed link to each other so I combined the answers. By reading the Bible you can get to know God. Specifically reading the New Testament and the Gospels you can get to know Jesus Christ. You can see how awesome our God is. One thing I keep putting in posts which applies here, too, is get to know Jesus. Get a personal relationship with Him. He is our Lord God and Savior. He is King of kings, Lord of lords, Name above all names. He loves each and every one of us unconditionally. Read the rest of this entry » I guess you could say that this question and answer links with yesterday’s. In one answer, yes. Isaiah 30:19 reads, “How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you.” Yeah right, I’ve been praying and get no answer. Are you sure? Yes; I am sure. If that is what you think I know of three possible reasons. One, is God hasn’t answered your prayer yet. Two, maybe you just aren’t understanding the answer God gave you. Three, maybe God answered you and you missed it or didn’t listen. I know God answers prayers and I have experienced each of these reasons personally. Read the rest of this entry » First of all prayer is our way of communicating with God. In addition, Jesus said in Matthew 6:5, 6, and 7, “When you pray.” Jesus didn’t say if you pray, He said when. For Jesus to say when that means that we should pray. In addition, Jesus Himself prayed. Most of John 17 Jesus prayed. In Matthew 26:36-42 He prayed. In Matthew 6:9-15 Jesus even tells us how to pray. In these verses He gives us what is now commonly known as the Lord’s Prayer. For those of you who don’t know it please read it below: Read the rest of this entry » This is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to know. John 3:3 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:17 reads, “For God sent…His Son…that the world through Him might be saved.” John 6:47 reads, “verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.” Mark 1:15 reads, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel.” John 10:9 reads, “I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved.” John 14:6 reads, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 11:25-26 reads, “I am the Ressurection and the Life: he that believeth in Me, thought he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?” Read the rest of this entry » Aug

Does God Love Me Even Though I Did So Many Things Wrong?ABSOLUTELY! God’s love is unconditional. Remember John 3:16, “For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish.” John 4:10 reads, “this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Jesus was Read the rest of this entry » God the Holy SpiritIn the Old Testament God used prophets. When Jesus was born, He lived among us. The Holy Spirit lives in us. This is what Jesus meant in John 14:16-17 when He said, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.” The Counselor and the Spirit of truth are what Jesus used to describe the Holy Spirit. Even in the Old Testament God said in Read the rest of this entry » God the SonGod so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God’s Son is Jesus Christ. Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:30-35 & Luke 2:7). He was born in Bethlehem (Luke 2:4). Once baptized by John the Baptist, it was Jesus Whom the voice from heaven came and spoke, “this is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). It was Jesus, who overcame the temptation of the devil in the wilderness (Luke 4:1-15). Check out the below bullets to see but a taste of the miracles Jesus preformed: Read the rest of this entry » God the FatherIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). He created everything visible and invisible. Our God is the God who when Abraham was about 100 and Sarah was about 90 (Genesis 17:17) gave them a son. His name was Issac (Genesis 21:1-3). He is the One who in Genesis 41:14 brought Joseph out from prison and made him ruler over all Egypt (Genesis 41:41). God basically in one day brought Joseph from prison to one of the most powerful men alive at the time. He is the God who allowed Pharaoh’s daughter to find Moses and have compassion on him (Exodus 2:5-6). He spoke to Moses through the burning bush (Exodus 3). Our God is the one who sent the plagues to Egypt (Exodus 7-12) and freed His people from Egypt’s bondage (Exodus 12:31). He lead His people with a cloud by day and fire by night (Exodus 13:41). In Exodus 14:21 God parted the Red Sea. In Joshua 6:20-21 He caused the walls Jericho to come tumbling down. In Judges He gave Samson great strength. In Samuel 17:48-51 He caused David to defeat Goliath. In Kings 3:12 He gave Solomon great wisdom. This is only but a taste of who our God is. Our God is an awesome God. He is mighty, powerful, majestic, and merciful. He is our Father in heaven. He is holy, all powerful, and all knowing. He created us from nothing. He gives us all that we have and all we need. God’s love is unconditional. He is the only true, living God. God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten son (Jesus Christ) and whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). We should give God praise and glory every day. |
