Romans 12:9 reads, “Hate what is wrong.” I think that this is pretty straight forward. We should turn away from what it wrong and have nothing to do with it. If we know something we are doing is wrong, run from it. Pray that Jesus helps in this area. It may not happen instantly, but Read the rest of this entry » Just before I wrote this post I found something that I didn’t expect to. Romans 13:6 reads, “Pay your taxes.” I had no idea that this was worded so plainly. Again in Romans 13:7 the bible reads, “Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them.” Paying your taxes is not something most people look forward to. Actually, for me this is the first year I am Read the rest of this entry » Are you kind to others? Do you show kindness? Romans 12:8 reads in the New Living Bible, “And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, Read the rest of this entry » Last week I blogged about Jesus feeding the four thousand. Another thing that I get out of it now that I read it again is that Jesus had compassion on the people. Matthew 15:32 Jesus says, “I feel sorry for these people. They have Read the rest of this entry » Many people tell me that they do not read Christian blogs. I have noticed on this site that many people come and bounce right out of it. Why is that? Although I agree that it is true there are many blogs that claim to be a Christian blog, but in fact are misleading, deceiving and teaching things that aren’t true, there many good Christian Blogs that provide a way for you to participate with someone or a group of people during the week in a bible study, bible teaching, etc. considering that you usually only attend Church 0-2 times a week at most. We need to keep Jesus in our lives every day, not just on Sundays. Reading Christian blogs is one way to hopefully get a dose of something good each day, although I feel that nothing beats a person spending time alone with God each day and part of that maybe being a bible study. Being in the world today I feel that it is important to keep a Christian environment for yourself as much as possible. I recently graduated from college and the amount of trash (especially in Religious Analysis classes) that Universities throw at students is appalling. I had a horrible experience in a Religious Analysis class that left me in a mess for a while. I think if I were reading or following a Christian Blog then, I would have had just one more thing to help me stay in a strong relationship with Jesus. If you are unsure if a blog is a true, good Christian Blog, read a few posts and see what you think. If you can not tell which Christian Blogs are good and which Christian Blogs are not so good, feel free to leave me a comment with the blog and I will try to check it out quickly for you and leave a reply to your comment. Yes I want you to read my blog, you can always read more than one. I just wanted to say thanks to all who read and follow this blog. Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature… Mark 16:15Jesus tells us in this verse to spread the Good News about Jesus dieing on the cross and raising from the dead so our sins can be forgiven to everyone. He wants you, and me to live in heaven with Him. This week try to witness to someone and lead them to Jesus, but make sure to let the Holy Spirit open the door. Take a look at How do I get to heaven? Today is my mother’s birthday. Hopefully we will get to celebrate somehow. I know that my grandmother and aunt are taking her out to breakfast which is nice. Birthday’s are a time to celebrate Read the rest of this entry » Many people know the story, Jesus Feeds Five Thousand, but did you know there is another time when Jesus Feed 4000? I didn’t until I read it in my bible quite some time ago. This story is another of Jesus’s many miracles. From the time line in Matthew, Jesus had performed the miracle of feeding the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish before He fed Read the rest of this entry » How much do you know about the Apostles? Take a look at some facts about who Peter, James, John, and Andrew were. He said to them, ‘Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.’ His brothers said to him, ‘Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?’ And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said. Then he had another dream, and he told his brothers. ‘Listen,’ he said, ‘I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.’ When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, ‘What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?’ His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter Read the rest of this entry » |
