You Are Never Alone

datePosted on 08:36, August 27th, 2009 by Michael

Have you ever wondered if Jesus is with you?  Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”  Jesus is saying here He will never leave us.  Jesus will always be with us, even if we can not see Him.  Trust in the Lord with all of your Read the rest of this entry »

Forgiveness Part 3

datePosted on 08:52, August 26th, 2009 by Michael

Jesus tells us this parable in Matthew 18:23-35, “Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an Read the rest of this entry »

Forgiveness Part 2

datePosted on 08:19, August 25th, 2009 by Michael

How many times should I forgive?

The bible reads in Matthew 18:21-22,”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”  I do not believe that Jesus really meant Read the rest of this entry »

Be Content

datePosted on 08:38, August 24th, 2009 by Michael

Yesterday I attended church at Christ the Rock in Cooper City.  Pastor Darrell’s sermon was a continuation of his current series going through the book of Philippians.  Yesterday’s sermon was about being content.  It got me thinking.  The bible reads in Philippians 4:11-13, “not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed…) in whatever state I am.  I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and Read the rest of this entry »

Forgiveness Part 1

datePosted on 09:01, August 22nd, 2009 by Michael

Ever have anyone who did something to you that you just couldn’t forgive? The time to get over it and forgive that person is NOW! Jesus says in Mark 11:25, “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may Read the rest of this entry »

Faith to Move Mountians

datePosted on 08:32, August 21st, 2009 by Michael

What is faith?

Faith could be described as believing with out seeing or doubting; believing that God has the power to______.  You can fill in the blank.  An example of faith would be when you go to bed, you know that you will wake up in the morning.  Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have Read the rest of this entry »

Loyal to One

datePosted on 08:28, August 20th, 2009 by Michael

Yesterday I wore a shirt that read on the top back, “Loyal to One,” and ”God’s Only Son,” toward the bottom.  It got me thinking, who or what are we loyal to?  Are we loyal to Jesus?  Are we loyal to ourselves?  Are we loyal to money?  Are we loyal to science?  Who are we loyal to?  Read the rest of this entry »

Overcome Evil

datePosted on 10:23, August 19th, 2009 by Michael

The bible says in Romans 12:21, “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”  We need to always overcome evil with good.  God is good, so since we are suppose to live as He wants us to live we need to over come evil with good.  Remember Jesus is our example.  He never overcame evil with evil.  Jesus conquered death, hell, and sin because He was blameless, sinless, and died on the cross and is resurrected so our sins are forgiven and we can live in heaven with Him forever. One Body

datePosted on 11:05, August 18th, 2009 by Michael

Just about every night for the past 3-5 years I have read Romans 12.  In my most read bible version, (King James/Amplified parallel bible) this section (chapter 12) is called “Christian Conduct.”  The Orthodox Study Bible and the NIV Study Bible I have divided the Chapter into different sections, but in general I think that “Christian Conduct” covers the entire chapter very well.
